Advanced Low Vision Certification

In Exclusive Partnership with the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI)

Bridging the Gap in Vision Rehabilitation

Millions of individuals across Africa suffer from vision impairment that cannot be fully corrected with standard eyeglasses, contact lenses, or medical interventions. The African Council of Optometry (AFCO) has partnered with the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI) to address this critical public health gap.

This specialized certification program is designed to equip African optometrists with the advanced clinical skills necessary to assess, diagnose, and rehabilitate patients with low vision, empowering them to maximize their residual sight and improve their quality of life.
