The African Council of Optometry (AFCO) was established in 1998 to serve as the unified, authoritative voice for the optometric profession across the continent. For over two decades, we have been dedicated to eradicating preventable blindness.
Through strategic alliances with the World Council of Optometry (WCO) and local national associations, we ensure that clinical standards and educational frameworks in Africa meet the highest global benchmarks.
